If you thought product design was all about big, eye-catching features – think again! Even the most groundbreaking tech products are made up of millions of tiny, detail-oriented pieces that make the product shine.
What an intro! Phew!
Trust me, I feel like a bad-ass writer for starting with that intro, lol, and I have this strong feeling that you agree.
Yeah, you do, lol.
Before I get into the main reason why I am writing this blog post, I have a question on my mind, how professional will it be to infuse emoji in our official communication?
For real, sometimes I feel words cannot express the right emotion I want to pass across in a mail,
For example, how do I respond to a ridiculously funny email? Loooool? Or Lmao? Think about it, we need to find a way around it. Lol.
Now to the meat of the meal,
When I wake up every morning, I take up my devotional to read and share the lessons via my private media (there is an emoji I would have used here but well…)
This is a daily ritual that I feel gets me going, am I here to tell you about my life?
No!
Well, yes! My product life,

The image I attached is what I saw immediately I opened my devotional.
These guys are changing their name,
Why?
Simple! To a simpler name that will aid referral. And this right here is my message to all product guys out there.
THE BEST PRODUCT GUYS PAY ATTENTION TO THE SMALLEST DETAILS!
I have been using the app and I didn’t even notice this but guess what,
Anytime someone asks me the devotional I use; I never get to pronounce name right and they most times don’t look up the app in the store because they can’t even remember the name.
The product team at Tecarta Bible got this spot on! See the difference “Life Bible.”
To embrace the power of small details in product design, you have to think really small, ridiculously small. I recently took this approach to the extreme and was surprised to find that it was incredibly effective!
Take Apple for example. It’s no secret that Apple’s iconic design relies on small details like the glow of their power button or the perfect curve of their earbuds. Those small details help to differentiate Apple’s products from the competition and make them instantly recognizable.
That’s why designers should never underestimate the power of small details when designing a product.
After all, the devil really is in the details – as they say! Attending to the small things can be the difference between a good product and a great one.
So, keep in mind that the devil may be dressed in a sharp suit, but his shoes are grizzly fly swatters! It’s the small, often overlooked things that can really make a difference.
Here are some tips to remember when it comes to embracing the power of small details in product design:
1. Don’t overlook the knobs and buttons– yes, they’re small but they still have a huge impact on the look and feel of your product. Make sure you get them right down to the tiniest detail.
2. Don’t forget about the packaging. The first impression a customer gets when they see your product is the packaging; make sure it’s memorable and conveys the quality of your product.
3. Perfection is key. Don’t settle for anything less than perfect when it comes to the small details. By paying attention to the small details, product designers can turn ordinary products into extraordinary ones! Keep in mind that big ideas are nothing without the little pieces that make them shine. So, embrace the power of small details – you’ll be glad you did!
